Gregory Goodwiler is from Appleton, Wisconsin and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1992 and a Master's Degree in Physician Assisted Studies—Emergency Medicine from the University of Nebraska in 1998. During his Master’s, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, where he was later appointed as Director of the PA Residency Program in Emergency Medicine.

Gregory Goodwiler is a Certified Physician Assistant with over twenty years of professional and academic experience.  He was appointed in 2002 as a faculty associate to the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His other teaching interests include group instruction, individual mentoring, and post-doctoral student supervision. Beyond his medical and academic experience, he served in the United States Army for twenty-two years, where he earned multiple medals and commendations for his service.  Mr. Goodwiler joined Alamo Orthopedics in 2016.
